When you get your album in the mail, the first thing you're going to want to do is tear open the packaging and flip through the pages while holding back your tears. While this is an appropriate reaction, I have a few tips to help you keep your album fresh so it can last generations.
Alright let’s get into the nitty gritty. The real details you’re looking for: how to prepare for your photoshoot. Preparing for the shoot goes beyond just getting the right outfit and schedule your dates. For some of us, we want to look and feel great leading up to the shoot. We want to present our best selves on camera, right? I’ve created a list of resources below that are not only my personal favorite ways to get pampered, but also things that were suggested to me by my clients or friends who are always on camera.
If you have your own personal list of resources, don’t hesitate to comment them below or send them my way personally! And if you’re looking specifically for outfit advice, check out this blog or this Pinterest page instead. Ready to get glammed up?
First of all, congratulations! If you're reading this, you're either engaged, know someone who's engaged, or are hoping for a ring this Christmas. Either way, I'm glad you're here. Let's talk about announcements! The first time you'll announce the engagement publicly is likely through Facebook. You post the proposal images, the ring shot, and a couple photos of the two of you absolutely beaming. The second announcement will come after you've decided on a date. For some couples, this comes after they've found their dream venue, and for others, it relies entirely on your family's schedules.
These days, any corner shop has a photo printer and a promise of a very short wait. Convenience always sounds like our best friend, but we all know food taste different from a microwave!
As a photographer, I feel obligated to tell you about printing your photos, and why it's important to invest your time rather than your convenience. Professional Photographers have access to a dozen photo labs across the world, all with the same promise: unparalleled quality. And they all live up to it! When you feel the quality of archival paper, versus the quality of one hour shops, you will notice right away that they are completely different. Not only the texture of the paper, but the texture of the ink as well!

I wanted to share a couple samples of what joy these sessions bring me. And if these sessions are on your radar, I only have a few spots open for the rest of the year! The sessions start at $100 and only last through the end of November. Don't miss out! And in the meantime, see below why these sessions are so special.
